the only 2 problems i have are that: 1. you only have to hit the button to start it once, and it will start right up. dont have to lock it or anything or hold it, hope i never press it in my pocket lol and 2. the horn chirps when you lock and unlock it.. not a fan of that. besides that... no more using keys!
you will definitly start the truck by accident. i would put money on it. and the horn chirping comes in handy if you forget to lock the door right away and cant see it anymore, you click the lock button and wait for the beep. and if you really dont like the horn function, have them turn that part off
Good to hear Dave. It's nice to know someone's taking care of your vehicles when you're away! When I leave, my folks usually take mine out for a spin once a month!
Eh - Exercising the equipment, that's all.
The van needs work and when I do get back for R&R I don't want to spend the day or two taking care of everything.
I only get paid once a month.
I hope, maybe June, I'll have a bit of breathing room and have my brother drop the van off at a shop with the understanding that it stays there for a week until he can come get it again.
All the fluids need doing, including coolant hoses.
And I want to finish the electrical, including up-grading the alternator.
All my links are back home, I recall a diesel truck performance shop in Fairfield.
i have to hit the start button twice to activate the remote start, and i still do it by accident a few times a year. the nice thing about mine is that i upgraded to a 2 way remote. my remote beeps when the truck starts, so if i hit it by accident a few seconds later the remote beeps and i know the trucks on. then i have to hit the button again and shut the truck down
ACT Audio in vernon on 83.. have heard nothing but good things about them. they do head units, speakers, subs, full systems, remote start/alarms, on star, etc...
