After some serious contemplation, I have realized that I have asked way too many questions lately and not given many answers. I've got a lot of excuses for that, but I thought I should offer up a tip instead of excuses so here it is.
My fold down arm rest cover on the driver's seat was cracked and getting worse, even starting to pinch at times. I discovered that if I peeled it off, and exchanged it with the passenger side arm rest cover. I had two like new surfaces to rest elbows on. Peel them off starting at the rear, flip them over upside down, and put them on the other side. 5 minutes and they're like new unless you look at the bottom of them. Enjoy.
It will work on a KR interior, I did mine. The crazy price ford gets for the replacement cover, you almost have to use it "twice" on the other seat, to make it worth the money. Now if there was just some little trick for the steering wheel, I would be happy.
