C6 tranny
Does any know if you should be able to shift the transmission while it sit on the bench?, I bought this for 100 bucks and I found that I can`t move the shift arm on it. Any help would be appreciated.

In response to your question, yes, you can shift the transmission while it sits on the bench. Sounds like you need to pull the valve body to clean it. You also may end up having to go through the rest of the transmission to make sure nothing else is corroded or damaged.
