I like where the stock map lights are, easy to read stuff without shining in front of the driver's eyes. I am eventually gonna upgrade my to LED's, I did this in my last SUV and they are brighter and don't run your battery dead when you go camping and etc and have the lights on a lot. My front maplights on the ex are really bright though, I have no problems reading anything.

I upgraded the stock lamps to led, they are behind you and dont work very well. My new setup, they dont shine in my eye's & i can see/read a road map
. Amazon.com, they were $15.00 for the 2 of them. Soldered them into the existing interior lighting wiring.
