drop axle is in

Got the drop axle and springs in and done the other day.
I love the way this thing sits, now to start on the rear.
"Made" some wide whites while I was at it.

Yep
Sids 3" axle and Midfitys springs.
King pins, drag link kit, rebuild kit for the master cyl and all wheel cyls, brake hoses and hard lines.

Guess I didn't add the pic of the axle.

The original springs where shot. The shackle end of the spring was touching the frame.
I wondered why it rode so rough. haha

She's definitely 'in da weeds' now. Did you have to make any alterations to the steering linkage? Tie rod ends, drag link, etc?

The only change I made was to the tie rod ends. Installed a drop set from Speedway.
Had to shorten the tie rod adjuster tube.
I didn't do anything to the steering arm off the spindle. I've heard that it should be moved up a bit.
Seems to be working fine for me as is.

I plan on adding PS box after I get the rear suspension how I want it.

Is that about a 6" drop?

Hey Siderbox- - looking good!!!

Sorry about all the questions, but I'm working on my truck stance too.

Would you say that is a 6" drop? 3" from axle and 3" from springs? Could you get the measurement from the bottom of your front bumper to the ground?

Did you calculate your scrub height (clearance in case of a flat front tire)?

I looks kinda close.

I like 'em low too - I'm looking forward to getting mine on the ground to see what it looks like. Just got 3" drop springs for the back and have a bracket relocate on hanger for an additional 1.5".

How did you "make" the whitewalls?

This is a pair of the same wheels and tires.
Kind of a before and after.

I took a 2" roloc on a surface prep air tool and went around a took of the black rubber that covers the white wall.
If you get up close to it you can see it's not perfectly round and smooth but it looks good from 10 feet.

Here is one of the write ups on the procedure.

I'm good with all the questions.
I know when I was getting ready to do mine I looked for info, didn't have much luck finding any.
Kinda weird for such a long time done modification.

From the bottom of the bumper to the ground is 6 1/4" and 1" between the snubber and spring.

I did look into scrub height abit.
Seems the biggest thing there is the axle drop vs. wheel size.
With 3" drop and 15" wheels I don't see a problem.
I could see a problem with 4" drop and 14" wheels.

On the rear of mine I'm planning on removing a few springs and relocating the front bracket.
Sounds to be similar to what you have planned.
