I have an 82 ford f-150 with a rebuilt inline 6 in it that i just rolled and i was wondering what all years i can put that engine into with out changing anything
There were minor changes to the wiring harness throughout production, but the block & head remained the same until '87 when it went EFI. In '84, the 1bbl became a "feedback" carb, and was computer-controlled (slightly), so it won't work on '84-86 trucks even though the engine will.
It will go in most anything currently with a small block... there may be some wiring issues, but you have the wiring harness from the original truck so no big deal. And yeah? How DID you roll it?
Thank you all that should help a lot and how i rolled it is that are roads are really bad and i was driving home after it had rained popped over a hill didnt look bad so i was going mabee 40 at tops but i started to slide the i spun around slid to the side were ther is no ditch and huge dirt clods and one of the dirt clods caught my tire just rite to flip me like a pancake.:
