I have an 06 F150 that was lifted, had it lowered back down and need the cross member that goes behind the front diff, right beside the sway bar. Anyone know where to find one other than ford?
I've called salvage yards and most have no clue what I'm talking about and others didn't have one useable. As it sits right now, truck is unusable until I find one, wish I had known before hand..
You may want to call around to some local 4wd shops that install lifts. That crossmember is typically cut out with any lift over 4". They might be able to locate something for you. If nothing else, then you may have to get a fab shop to weld up something for you.
What did you do with the lift? If someone else now has it, get this crossmember from their truck
Didn't see it in lmc. Haven't decided if going to sell the lift yet or not.

I've called all the local places. Do you think making one would work OK? Don't want to do anything if it's risky, but also hate to give Ford over $400 for a new one.
$400 isn't too bad considering what you're getting...the ability to drive your truck, and safely.
Try Tousley Ford...they're a site sponsor here and items are 10% over cost. I just got parts from there and they were very easy to deal with.

The only other idea I could think of is actually hit up the local junk and scrape yards and see if you can pull one off. But I have to agree the $400 is not too bad to be able to drive the truck.

Thanks, I called Steve today and got it ordered. $185 for it, he was way way cheaper than my local dealer..
