What should my ECT be at?

Hello, I recently bought a scangaugeII and have been monitoring my states. My ect and eot are typically about 8deg apart, but my engine temp is usually around 200, sometimes 206, with no load. Its been about 86 degress outside, and some of that driving is on the highway. It seems I recall that most peoples temps are usually around 190, so mine seems to be running about 10-15 deg hotter on the ect than most. Is this something to be concerned about? I have been trying to notice if I hear the engine fan kick in, and I dont think I've heard it come on, so maybe an issue with the fan, or are these engine temps acceptable? Just for the record, sometimes the ect will drop to about 195-197, and the eot has never been hotter than 210.

190 to 204 is the norm. You possibly could use a new t-stat but your still in the ball park.

Are you using the pre-programmed fWT or an XGauge? Are EOT/ECT pretty close to the same after truck sits overnight?
My truck acts similar but the numbers are different. On a cool day I'll top out at low 180's. When outside temp gets warm, I'll see low to mid 190's. Towing, my numbers are much higher.
I dont think you have anything to worry about, 200-210 is in operating range on a warm day. If you're thinking the fan operation might be off you can monitor it with this:

Fan Speed Sensor (RPM)

TXD: 07E022099F

RXF: 04620509069F

RXD: 3010

MTH: 000100040000

NAM: FSS
KO=0 LI=533 HI=488 OR=0-4000

FAN SPEED DUTY CYCLE (%)
FDC 07E022091F 04624509061F 3010 013103E80000

When i first bought mine ECT was runnin mid 180's & people here said it was too low (should be 192) so i replaced thermostat (with a OEM replacement / dont use aftermarket) & sure enough the little bugger runs 191-192 consistantly now.

Fan doesnt kick on till appx 215 iam sure someone will chime in w/exact #
In fact ive yet to ever hear mine come on, my dad owned his truck since 2004 & the first time his ever came on was last summer we were pullin his 5th Wheel through the mountains out west.
It was very loud & noticeable, sounds like a Jet aircraft just landed on ur hood

I recently got my 6L Excursion back after new heads, oil cooler, EGR delete, coolant filter, and heater cores and radiator flushes were completed by the dealership.

With a tune and 4" exhaust I am seeing on average 188-192 ECT and 194-198 EOT in all unloaded driving conditions so far. 50-75 degree weather

I will be traveling approx 1000 miles in the next week with my 8K lb toyhauler and I will track the temps and post up the differences.

Thanks for your responses everyone. I am useing the pre-programmed fWT, and the x-gauge for the EOT. Should I program the X-gauge for the fWT/ECT? It does make me feel better about the fan not coming on until it gets higher up there. I guess I will know in the next month or so when temps outside climb to the 90's. As for the question about my temps when I first start the truck. The water temp always climbs higher and then the oil temp grad warms up and passes it by6-8 deg. Once while in the mountains, going uphil for awhile, the EOT got to about 14-15 deg above the water temp, but that was only for a short while, I think the thermostat had just opened so the water temp dropped a few degress
