When towing lately I have noticed that the fan will constantly spin up to high speed for about 5 seconds. This does this constantly while driving. The engine temp while towing is usually around 207. The dealer says this is normal, anyone else notice this?

No One responded. Else where on other threads it is posted, the fan on temp is about 210 F. Mine does not come on much even up to 212 when pulling a load.

There a lot of factors in this such as outside temp, load, altitude.etc. If you are towing a large load and it is very warm outside then it would be normal. Just reduce your speed some and it should help with temps.

I had this issue as well. I had it pop on on hot days (over 105 degrees), pop on when towing up grades at altitudes above 5000 feet, and had it pop on when traveling at slow speeds through town. The mechanics tell me it is normal, and our 6.0's just happen to have a fan that is loud as can be.
Right now our weather has been cooler, and I haven't had it come on in a long time.
