Hubcap restore

What's the best way to restore one of these chrome hubcaps? There are a few dings, scuffs and of course the black paint.

This hubcap (C4AZ-1130-A) is stainless steel, not chrome. Chrome rusts, stainless steel does not / Applications: 1965/66 F100 Custom Cabs with "outie" wheels & 1964 Ford Custom/Galaxie/Galaxie 500.

Mask the hubcap, then using a small paint brush, carefully apply vaseline to the FORD letters and to places where applying tape is difficult. Spray the puppy, then when the paint dries, wipe off the vaseline.

Get two small pieces of 1/4" pine, put one on either side of the dent, then place a C clamp on both pieces of the pine, tighten until dent 'goes away.'

You can polish the scuffs away using Dupont white polishing compound or semichrome. You can use a buffer, but be careful it doesn't 'take off' on its own.
