I just bought a 1990 F-150 with the straight bench seat. The seat is broken down pretty bad and I would like to replace it. Preferably just a bolt iout/in replacement, I do not want to drill or anything.
What I would like to have however is a seat with the foldable middle armrest. Did they have that option in 1990 trucks? I had a '90 F-150 years ago but I cannot remember what the seat looked like.
There are several junk yards around here so with a little help I can be sitting pretty soon.

The seat in my '94 would fit in there, and has the folding arm rest.
It's a one piece bench seat. The armrest is embedded in the middle part.
I'd rather have a 60/40 bucket-bench setup like the newer trucks though.
But mine is OK. feels like a couch in there.
Here's my seat in action. I usually have the armrest up though.
The added plus is that this seat has the inflatable back supports.
I threw away the bench seat in my '89, and replaced it with the 40/40/20 seat from a 1996 powerstroke (mine) It fit with little effort and no drilling. Now I have an '89 with the highback threeway seat. Of interest, you can get a 3 way seat from most larger junkyards for less than $400.
I replaced my stock bench seat with a Qualtex from an Ebay auction.
Everything fit perfect. I didn't have to drill one hole.
These seats are the same ones JC Whitney sells.

How much did you pay for your bench seat? Plus do you remember off hand how much jc Whitney's price is for it? thanks
I put a 40/60 out of a 97 with a fold down arm rest in my 91. It went right in, and the holes all lined up, so I know that probably all the seats from your truck on up to at least a 97 will work, if you find a good one in a junker or something.
