JWA....Now that's a working mans van! I have an carboard box with my Ice scraper in it.....LOL
Just after posting those photos I started thinking just what's inside that rolling mess----its amazing and not in the best of ways!
Apart from that rather small space just inside the barn doors there's almost no nook, cranny or spot not filled with something. Under the seats, the right side air bag nook (not originally installed), a HD wire basket between the seats---its full!
From here I can only go longer and taller----which I'm looking to do now anyway with a new-to-me van!
JWA it is the goo and the slimy stuff from melted food stuffed in all the pockets and under the seats that went frozen and unnoticed in winter that is making a come back now that it is spring!
Ahh okay---but even though its maybe too late when the goo is frozen its easier to remove! That bit of household cleaning knowledge comes directly from Hints From Heloise BTW! Props to her if she was an FTE Member!
Every so often, weather permitting I empty my mess into the driveway, sort it out, toss out my own lunch time remnants and find stuff I've already replaced thinking it was lost or broken parts that need to be trashed. While mostly empty an air hose clears out the mounds of dust and then its time to break out the all surface cleaners to remove urethane finger prints and all sorts of other work-related crap.
We who work out of vans all too quickly realize there's just too much room to toss crap--and we do thinking we won't let it get as bad as the last time. Oh yeah--that's exactly what we do right?
Well my extended '85 Diesel van. USE to be a plumbing van all it's life till I bought it, now it's a joy van use to weigh 9000lbs loaded, so you can only imagine how full it was.
I run about 7800# with my E250 loaded as a daily driver, rarely add much to that since what I carry is pretty much a consistent inventory of tools, materials and glass parts.
