Well first night in Vegas and we are only down $40 from the tables. Actually I broke dead even from Blackjack and she was down from slots. I got on a roll and they changed my dealer, I hate when that happens! lol. All in all, it was a great night!
So i'm assuming that since the water pump failed the gauge didn't show it was hot. What was the first thing you noticed that made you think you might have a problem?
How do you know you have a scored cylinder wall or piston?

That IC and its pipes are still on the shelf and you are in Vegas! Get your priorities right man!
Nah, they can sit there a while longer! QT with the wife is more important. Lol
Especially with the strain of you guys being in different cities most of the time. Good for you for making that a priority. And good luck at the tables! "C'mon dice, daddy needs a new turbo!!"

Thanks guys! Yeah you don't have to worry about me getting complacent. My wife has already scolded me for being to amped up here! Lol It's great having the time together and not really having anything particular on the docket. 2 things I wish I had the dough to do out here though. Shoot a fully automatic machine gun and take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. Both are out of the budget for this trip!

How much would it cost to do them both at the same time?

I know of a range here in IN that lets you rent their automatics to shoot on their range.

You guys think I am kidding... Front Sight used to offer that as an option (not in the grand canyon, though). If I recall correctly it was some sort of full auto and a copter for half a day and cost around $1,000. Money well spent if you ask me.
I think they quit offering it due to lack of interest. I don't know, sounds interesting enough to me!

My story is it want circulating enough water to read hot lol. It was either that or I somehow overlooked that bright red light saying "SHUTTER DOWN!!!"
I noticed a problem when I would lose power, itd pick back up and run fine, then lose power and it did that a few times. I kept looking out my mirror and it wasn't blowing smoke so I didn't think it was a big deal. Then just as I was pulling into my works parking lot, it all went down hill in a hurry. It felt like it was running on 3 cylinders and rolling smoke. It didn't hardly pull into the lot. I then looked down and the gauge registered it was hot. Needless to say, I was beyond mad at this point. Only had the truck 3 months and had about 200 miles on my brand new turbo-back exhaust
I have a pretty good idea its a scored cylinder because of the lose and gain power and if you hold your hand over the oil-fill in the valve cover, you can feel it huffing.
I bought another truck for $1750 to drive til I got my truck back on the road. I drove through some deep water (about running boards deep) going 20 mpg or so and it sucked in some water. Bent a rod. I owned this truck 2 weeks.
