Hey guys I was just wondering how I would get my distrubutor back in time I had it out and now my truck wont start I thought i had it back in how it came out but i guess not. So any help would be great.
Find the timing mark on the crank pulley and mark it if its not easy to see.
Remove #1 spark plug and disable the ignition (remove coil wire)
Turn the engine over by hand or have someone bump the motor over with the key.
With a finger covering the spark plug hole, you will feel air rushing out as the piston comes up on the compression stroke.
Watch your timing mark and stop it when it lines up.
Remove the dist cap and see if the rotor is pointed at the #1 terminal on the cap.
If its not pull the dist and drop it in with the rotor pointed at #1
alright i have the rotor head pointed at the number one postion but where should the number one position be located? i took it off and wasnt paying attention like an idiot i thought i had it back in like it was but the truck wont start im just assuming this is the issue
