Getting Distrubutor in Time?
Hey guys I was just wondering how I would get my distrubutor back in time I had it out and now my truck wont start I thought i had it back in how it came out but i guess not. So any help would be great.
clicky ---> Fuel Injection Technical Library » Setting the timing
Concept works the same for the 4.9L 6 cylinder as well.

Find the timing mark on the crank pulley and mark it if its not easy to see.
Remove #1 spark plug and disable the ignition (remove coil wire)
Turn the engine over by hand or have someone bump the motor over with the key.
With a finger covering the spark plug hole, you will feel air rushing out as the piston comes up on the compression stroke.
Watch your timing mark and stop it when it lines up.
Remove the dist cap and see if the rotor is pointed at the #1 terminal on the cap.
If its not pull the dist and drop it in with the rotor pointed at #1
