Question on when to replace-----

I’ve got a 1997 F250 7.5 (460) auto trans 4x4 with just over 100K. What is the life expectancy of the u-joins, power steering pump, starter and the coil? They are all original equipment that came on the truck.fficeffice" /><O></O>
Everything is working fine right now. But, I use the truck to pull a 30ft 5th wheel and if these items are near the end of their life expectancy, I’ll replace them now. It’s a lot easier to replace them in my yard then alongside the road somewhere near the end of the earth.<O></O>

The u-joints and coil I would replace. The other stuff they either work or they don't.

I wouldn't be to worried, My 88 F250 has 120,000 on it and pulled a 28 foot trailer for most of it's life, plus a horse trailer and a 18 foot flatbed. Everything is origional.
