1979 Ford E-150 Headers

Those shortys are for an F series pickup. I replaced the manifolds on my 96 E150's 351 with a set of shortys for a 96 F series 351. And if you do, do this, get a set that are coated to reduce the heat transferred to the engine cowling and floor. I bought coated and there's zero heat transfer.
Do the exhaust pipes line up, or need modified?

Everything bolts right up. The manifolds are the same between the E and F series. Just make sure to buy the correct ones for your engine. The manifolds are different between the 5.0 and 5.8's on the passenger side. Wile I did this, I built a complete new 3" single exhaust for the van. This is really easy to do, the pipe is straight from the cat back to the muffler, no bends needed. I went with a Dynomax Super Turbo that was 29" long (looks like a truck muffler) & a new high flow cat. The tailpipe is a stainless prebent unit for an F series pickup also, just needed to shorten the front end about 8" to make it work with the van chassis and the muffler. I think I was a Flowmaster pipe. Just enough sound to know it's there, but nothing you can hear at highway speeds inside the van.
