injector leakin need some help here please

injector leakin need some help here please

i got 2 injectors one is leakin real bad and the other isnt bad at all you can barely notice. can somebody tell me how to replace them i dont want screw it up and make a bigger mess out of it. is it worth doin myself or take it the shop and have them do it. i know the obvious pull the fuel lines off and pull out the injector is there any thing else i need to. do i need the injector kit thats got all the lines and o rings or do i just need to get o rings and put the new ones in. also if i do this am i gonna have to reprime the motor

Are you sure you need injectors? Most leaks are the o-rings on the return lines. Get an injector install kit, it will have all the parts to make a new return line system for the top of the motor. PM Typefour, a member here, he sells a kit with the viton o-rings.

Make sure its clean! nothing falls into the injector holes or into the injection hard line any dirt will screw up the new ones...Apply some anti seize on the threads dont forget the copper gaskets a little vaseline will hold it in place be careful with the tips....and yes you will need to replace the return lines,The kit will come with the copper gaskets, lines, Clamps,Caps and O rings...Dont bend the lines loosen both ends...Then bleeed

I ran a hose down the end of a shop vac hose and used the smaller one to vacuum out the injector holes.
