engine oil cooler
anyone out there know if the OEM Ford oil cooler for the 6.0l diesel is the best or if there is an aftermarket that is better? Also wondering what a new oil cooler would cost? Thanks

OEM is pretty much it. Unless you want to spend the coin on an "external" oil cooler from Bullet Proof Diesel.
OEM runs near $300 (find on e-bay for less)
BPD's oil cooler $2000 or so.

How much is the labor to replace stock unit? With the multiple posts on here about replacing the stock unit only to have the next clog soon after, made me choose the bullet proof external type. I did all the labor myself. So I am curious if I was to have paid a dealership for the replacement of a stock unit if you would end up in the same ballpark? And the best part is the external type you will never worry about clogging coolers again.
