I have never bought oversized tires before so my question is if anybody has a recommendation for tires. I have narrowed it down to Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ radial or Pro Comp All-Terrain
35x12.5x17
Any idea which ones are noisier?
Thanks!
Are you just looking for a good set of All Terrains or something more aggressive?
I've heard good things about the General Grabber as well as Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ. I don't know anybody that uses the Pro Comp All Terrains, but their mud terrains are good tires. The Pro Comp Mud Terrains are kinda loud though.
I'm really just getting them for looks rather than serious off-roading. That's why I'm concerned with the noise. I haven't found a place around me for wheeling and i have put way too much time into the details to ruin it by mudding...i know I'm lame.
In that case, the General Grabbers have Red Lettering on them, which I think looks pretty cool. I understand that you don't want to wreck your truck mudding it though. I just use my truck in winter so I figure if I break something with it during summer I've got months to fix it.
So far from what I have seen bf makes 2 tires that come in 35x12.50 for 16 inch rims. The all terrain t/a ko and the mud terrain t/a km2s. Basically with the 16 inch rim your gonna be looking at a 315/75 instead of 35x12.5 its pretty close to the same size its 34.7 and 12.4 not enough to where you will know the difference. So thats prob what you should look for is tires in a 315/75 16
