The Mean Green does cost some "green" but it is overbuilt and should last a lifetime.
They warranty it for a year but it has a life expectancy of 300,000 miles.
I can understand the cost but it would probably be the last alternator you would ever buy but then again a well taken care of 7.3 can last over 300,000 miles!
hey is any on runing a sd alt from a 99 ? can we run them ? i see a 200 amp one fro sd but not for are trucks ...... just wondering thanks
The ambulance package has this charging system you could mod your system like these I'm sure.
Compare it to the standard charging system
Its definitely heavier wiring also the super dooper mega giant fuse in there. maybe find a junkyard ambulance and steal all the harness and other stuff. we talked about this in the past. i think there was a kit to upgrade to the 215 amp setup.
