Rich, I do have an extra portable ac in the camper to suppament the roof air because this big camper should have come with two roof airs. This portable is great, so you say put it in the back seat and pipe the cold air into the IC, great idea! LOL
Pipe it to the IC and your back side Glenn! LOL! Kill two oldbirds with one stone!LOL!!!!
Ya, I pour a lot of water into this system as it is.
Just pickin on ya Glenn!LOL! I'm a little full of myself today. I've done drove my wife bout half crazy this morning! I'm waiting on parts, so nothing to do.........except stir up trouble! LOL!!!
Oh yea i know the type of hills you are talking about we have a quiet a few like thag here. And you are correct, every setup would have trouble pulling those hills. I cant think of anything that would help more other than larger nozzles on your water/meth injector.
Heard some good things about majestic. And a dodge turbo hu? From what i remember that should be a good turbo for stg 2s.
Yep a dodge turbo. If I go that route this is my plan for now
Going built auto. The boss told me if I can make mine last til x-mas that would be my gift from her. I getting my kit and a couple other parts from here. E4OD, 4R100 Transmission from PATC, E4OD, 4R100
I have a guy here that build race transmissions that said if I pull it and bring the parts he would build for 550
Sounds like a good plan. I'm doing the same thing sometime, my trans guy is real good and gives me real good deals as I've gotten him a lot of business from word of mouth.

Just got back from a long day of PSDing and I read a real funny comment. That's great Bill, I needed a good laugh. Actually, it would only kill one oldbird, surely you don't think my motor is a oldbird, do you, LOL? Today I got up top, sorta, the 7,000 foot streach from Rifle, Co to Rawlins, Wy. It was cool out and it was kind of nice with the windows down for a change. I kept my eye out for a O'Reilly's Mike but didn't see one.

You know Rich, we and a few others on here understand what its like pulling a 5th wheel. When some heard 16K pounds it just sounds like a heavy load. I'll have to take a picture of the front of the truck with the 5er hooked up, its like pulling a parachute down the road. Add 20-30 mph head wind and it becomes a real load. Add 40+ head wind and you have doubled the weight of the trailer. For eight years I've been looking for the majic pill combination for gut pulling power and control of EGT's. My truck does great and I'm pround of it but I've always wanted to use all the power, put my foot into it and fly up the hills. I'm getting carried away but one more, I was going up a pretty good hill and an really old farmer hauling a full load of water was going about 20mph. I went around him and for some reason I thought I was losing power so I pulled it down into 2nd and stomped on it. I covered that poor guy with smoke, my wife even got mad at me. That poor old guy, you didn't have to do that to him!!! LOL

Glad you got a good laugh Glenn! I was referring to your EGTs and *** sweat as the two oldbirds !LOL!!
Seriously though, it's got to be frustrating to have all the great mods you have and all the hard work and time you've put into your truck, and still be limited by EGTs. I know what it's like pulling a big camper ( not a 5er ). I had a 38' I pulled on my reciever with the SD I had. It didn't stick up as high as your 5er, but loaded for a trip, she was heavy. But with everything invested in your truck there's got to be something, I don't know what, but something to do to control your EGTs and allow you to use the power you have.
OHHHHHHHHHHHH, I guess I need to cool that down too!
Ya, I haven't found it yet. IC and water injection took off about 250*. When I drop down to 3rd gear on a hill I take it up to 1,200* and when it drops to about 45mph and have to drop into 2nd the EGT's take a immediate drop (lower) of 100 degrees. EGT's go up, my foot goes up.
You will appreciate this because your building the up pipes. Once on a really hard hill I had to pull it into 1st, the reason being my up pipes were leaking.
I'm sure someone will come up with something one day. Those stupid up pipes.......I'm hoping mine work. I'll build them for everyone of these trucks I have or will ever have. And the EBPV will go away with them.
This guy does my buddies powerglide in his 69 camaro that runs 8.90's it's got aroun 75 passes on it and it's holding strong
Ya my buddy did my glide this winter, I run low 9's so not much slower. Probably more power, just I drive a tank.. He pulled it apart, inspected everything (it was ok) and put new gaskets and assembled for 150 bucks. It had about 150 passes on it. I know powerglides are easy to build, but he is good and treats me real well.
