It was an ancient thread resurrected by a guy with a blasting business that found the thread. He joined the group to make his first and only post. It's all good. He made some good points. He lives a little far away from me to have him work on my stuff, so I don't know how effective his efforts here will be to his business.

I don't have a business but I do have a smaller version of the dustless blaster. Works really well but not cheap. And they are very loud using a tank vibrator to keep the bead media suspended in the water. The additive that helps resist rust seems to work very well and only requires a fraction of the water being added to be effective. But, you can work in regular clothes and as long as you blast from an angle you shouldn't have any problems with heat buildup and panel warpage. The wet media removes material much quicker and keeps things cool. You need about 60CFM to run this small one. Takes a 50 lb bag of media which can last for about 30 minutes. That's a lot of blasting time with this since it is so efficient.

One of my favorite videos is this one, although the car is a bit of a bondo buggy. It shows what can be done in a fairly short period of time. This owner didn't remove the chrome as mentioned by the post from yesterday which saves time masking and allows a more thorough job. And saves your chrome pieces....
