so suport your local welder and just bring the truck and say i want a skid plate made
thats what i did for my motorcycles and my vw passat w8

I doubt it there are any to be found in a wrecking yard. I would probably have one made.

I pulled the part number from my original factory ford skid plate (8C3Z7E063A) and it appears to still be a stocked part.

Hasteranger's factory skid plate is different from the factory one I took off
This one goes from frame rail to frame rail under the t-case. The truck is a 2005 V10.

Wonder if it's because his is a diesel and your's is a V10.

Could be. idk. I looked at other 04-05 F250/F350's when I bought mine and theirs looked just like mine. all diesels.
