Hey i have a 95 f350 with a 351, the check engine light comes on periodically so I scanned it. I got code 565 on KOEO test which is canister purge solenoid fault and also code 327 on CM test which is EGR valve position circuit below minimum voltage. Any idea's or advice on what to repair/replace?

 

The Can Purge solenoid which is hanging off a rubber vacuum line that runs between the throttlebody and the charcoal box on the passenger inner frame below the rad, and the EGR position sensor on top of the EGR valve.

 

A lot of engines pop errors for the EVP sensor, without any real harm. You can check for EGR functionality by applying manifold vacuum to the valve while idling and seeing if it stalls.

More common is a leak in the hose between the charcoal canister and the throttle body.

 

Alright I'll look into it. The light isn't on but the codes still come up. Anything mechanical I can figure out but this computer/code thing is new to me.

 

Replaced the canister purge breather tubes and problem is fixed, scanned with code 111 system pass. Thanks for the advice
