HELLO. I HAVE A 94 F150 WITH 300-SIX. MY PROBLEM IS AN INTERMITTENT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I JUST DID THE KOEO TEST AND COME UP WITH CODE 111 AND 332. MY PAPERWORK SAYS 'PASS' FOR 111. I DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS. FOR 332 IT SAYS "EGR VALVE OPENING NOT DETECTED"
THE LIGHT HAS COME ON FOUR TIMES IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS AND GOES OUT WHEN I SHUT OFF THE IGNITION, AND DOESN'T COME BACK AT ANY PATICULAR TIME THAT I CAN TELL. I DON'T SEE ANY IRREGULARITIES IN THE WAY THE ENGINE RUNS OR ON ANY OF THE GUAGES. SHOULD I JUST BUY A NEW EGR AND INSTALL OR IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD CHECK? HOW ABOUT CODE 111? THANKS
111 is an all clear code, which means nothing is detected abnormal. I would check the egr system. It could be anything from a vacuum leak to a stuck EGR valve. If you don't have a Haynes manual I recommend getting one, as they have many tests in there and have pretty good directions for the most part.
