after recovering from the holiday hangover I'm back on the bronco. all other projects are out of the shop and I have room to spread this thing out. the frame will be going to powder coat this week along with some other parts. Blasting the body will start this week also, hopefully this project will move along a little faster now.
I don't really like prop rods so hood struts were installed
the 5.5 inch suspension off and the 2.5 on
shock hoops tacked on
a little fitment issue with the hoops
body off and almost ready to blast.
finish welding shock hoops
frame tore down, welds cleaned up and ready for powder coating.
Wow, looks good. You really know how to work with that tubing. It all looks symetrical and professionally done. What color will the frame powder coating be?
Got the frame back from the power coater and started hanging suspension parts. The disk conversion would not fit the hubs so anther problem to work through
Got the body all sprayed with epoxy primer and ready to start some body work on the engine compartment.
Sprayed the underside with a bed liner for protection and a little sound deading
mike I don't have cable so I did not get to see it but heard about it, I can tell you this 45,00 is not making much money when you tear this thing down like this.
Camera is just my phone, prob need a steadier hand. Helper is my dad, needed some more help getting the chassis out of his shop and back to mine so I can swap motors in the race car.
That thing is looking great! So jealous......I need to do this to my truck....got orders to Germany though so it'll be awhile until I get to mine. Looking really good!
I got the body back on the chassis and we have been going to town on the body work. Sent the seats off the be recovered, mud work is almost done hopefully will shoot some primer and be blocking by the end of the week.
