I just installed 8 new Delphi injectors from pensacola diesel and they are great so far!
I don't really notice much of a difference at idle, but where it really made the difference was starting. I had a rough time starting for a few months despite new batteries, new starter, new custom 2/0 cables, new motorcraft glowplugs, no fuel leaks, and a working GP relay. It was the new injectors that made the difference! It used to take a fair amount of cranking to start, unless i used the heater block then it would start instantly. Now it starts in 2 seconds always. Glad the injection pump is fine cause that was the only other thing left to try. Compression tested while injectors were out. ~380Psi in all cylinders. 100,000 miles and this engine is good to go!
I guess the old injectors just didn't spray the fuel well enough to explode when starting cold, but seemed fine once running. To anyone that has tried everything else, new injectors can make the difference! Also, IMO don't waste time with $100 reman injectors online. been there done that. just spend the $300 and get new ones.
Generally, the pump & the injectors should be changed together. If the pump is as tired as the old injectors, the new injectors with their new springs will cause the pump to work harder now. This can push a tired pump over the edge...
Also, many people have had good luck with remans. Myself included: I've got a couple months on my remaned pump and injectors with good results for under $500 for the both.

Where did you get your pump and injectors from. I need them and a controller and glow plugs to boot.
