What is the fuel pressure supposed to be for 1974 F350 1 ton special camper edition? 390 w/650 CFM Holly 4 BBl. Automatic choke. The original owner said it came w/ 750 CFM Holley.
I replaced the fuel pump, but can't keep the float level adjusted. Float valve is good. I either get too much fuel, or none at all. I suspect the new fuel pump is putting out too much pressure.
Where can I get an inline fuel pressure gauge? Whats a reasonable price?
Don't remember, Probably pretty small increments. Had this problem on another vehicle a long time ago. The pump was putting out too much pressure.
I really need to know what the pressure should be. I am not going to dick around w/the float adjustment any more until I know what the pressures should be, and what the pressure the pump is actually delivering is.
I recently bought a gauge and pressure regulator from JEGS. I don't remember the exact cost but it was pretty reasonable, and shipping was fast and cheap.
