starter relay ?

Got the new motor in and am ready to start it up but think i have something backwards. On the starter relay(pass fender) I have the small red wire on the big post closest to the firewall. The other big post has a double white from the headlight harness(never took that off) a double blue from the main engine harness and the large red+ wire. When I went to start it I heard the relay click and then nothing. Turned the key back off and there was a constant clicking in the steering column. pulled the battery terminals to get it to stop. Went back and checked stuff and found a double white wire(two wires into one eye ring) coming from the harness with the alt\ac comp. Where does this go? Are the other wires right? Thanks

The trigger wire that runs to the starter should be on one large terminal on the relay, all other wires that have the large eye for the large terminal, and the cable that ties into the + battery cable should go on the othe large terminal.
