Painted Center Cap

Bill (ReBilld) was kind enough to send me a center cap so I could have a complete set. However, this particular cap needs some love, so while I was rotating the tires this afternoon, I busted out a rattle can and shot it with some paint to match the truck. I'm not sold on the thought of all my caps being this color, but it sure is a bit different. Don't know if I'll go this route or not, but what do ya'll think?

BTW I'll be welding in some new wheel arches to fix that rust this summer. Stupid Ohio winters!

I don't even care for the chrome much. I took mine off. That way I can use it as a step!

Maybe try some of this....
Dupli-Color :: Wheel Coating

You can get it at any parts store and maybe even Wal-mart.

I guess I haven't realized how much I use the axle as a step since I pulled the running boards off, but I do like the look of center caps, just not sure what to do with this one.

Looks a little bit like a clown nose, not sure if I'd do it. I pulled all my rattle-prone center caps off and painted the hubs gloss black. Muuuch better!

Yeah, think I'm in the same boat with everyone else. Not quite keen on the painted center caps.

Maybe if you paint the external circule in white and the rest in red, like your two tone truck. IDK

I just got tired of the pieces of %^&* and took them off. I had replaced one, and not too long later the other one started making noise, ie part broke. Threw them somewhere, didn't care where either..

I never put center caps on with my aftermarket wheels... mainly cuz they didnt fit over my hubs..
But Every once in a while Ill just wire brush em up prime and paint em gloss black.
Looks better than brown rust.
