55 grille

55 grille

Im puttin a 55 grille on my 53 does the park lights and lower valance have to be changed also

The lower valance in 55 had different indents to fit the 55 parking lights. You could possibly modify the 53 valance a little to get the 55 parking lights to fit right.

I also have a '53 with a '55 grill. I got a smooth valance and parking lights that are true to the '53 and when everything went together it didnt fit....ended up changing to the '55 valance and parking lights to match the grill and it looks great.

Thanks, just didnt look right i have one from a 54 think they are the same, from looking at LMC catalog

I believe the '53 and '54 are the same with the grill and maybe more specific the headlight bucket changing in '55. Someone with more knowledge than I have should chime in and answer that.

53 and 54 grille should be the same as far as parking light indents are concerned, however the 54 has 2 cutouts for the vertical grille bars to insert into...

thanks again for all the help, bought a set of turn signals for a 55 they mocked everything up on the front it looks terrible with the 53 spalsh panel, dosent match well at all guess if somebody wanted to do some trimming it would work, but im going get a 55 lower panel and be done, lesson learned!
