Question problem with '95

a buddy bought a truck today that has the 5 speed tranny...driving it home, whenever I hit the clutch to downshift the back end was kinda bunny-hopping....any ideas???

Did it do it as soon as you pushed the clutch in, or when you were trying to downshift?

Maybe check and see how much slack is in the ring and pinion first, then work your way forward, checking everything.....that's weird.
