Just a heads up, I replaced my OEM tstat housing because it was getting funky, but not leaking when I upgraded to the 203*. Now my new housing leaks. I'll be installing the lock ring soon.

These collars are good for getting it even all around. Its a common spot for leaks.

That's where I got mine Blake, the big O.

Alex, I agree 100%. I hate trying to read these test stripes and trying to figure out what it says.

Glenn how long after you put in the fleet charge did you test the sca level. Since its precharged i know it will last a while at the right level, but for how long? And where do you get the SCA test strips?

If you can get both block plugs out and drain all the coolant, 8 gallons (4 gal of coolant and 4 of water). When flushed mine a month ago i couldnt get my driver side block plug out and i got in 4 gallons of coolant and 2 gallons of water.

Use distilled water with the mix. Blake's got you hooked up with good coolant and the amount.

Blake, I got my test strips at napa, but I haven't even checked it yet. I just changed it and put that coolant in and a need release coolant filter along with it so haven't bothered to look at it yet..

Darin what do you mean 'need release' coolant filter

Basically a pre-charged coolant filter that slowly releases SCA?

Or is it something smarter that literally tests the coolant and releases the correct amount of SCA?

I tend to think its the first rather than the latter..
but still curious!

Let me know what pre-charged coolant filter you get Darin, I'm an idiot when it comes to that stuff. The test strips also, someone said that the reason I couldn't read them was because they were expired!

Penray NF2088 Coolant Filter w/ Need Release | eBay

That is the one I have guys. Alex, that is what it is supposed to do is release needed sca's as necessary. It is supposed to be smart like you said..

Glenn, I'll have to try one of the test strips one of these days. I'll let you know when I do. My local napa didn't have them in stock but ordered them for me. Napa brand I believe.
