I have read a lot of the sites on the Internet related to the 5.0L engine and ways to get more power out of it. I want to know some ways YOU guys got more power out of your 302s. Its got plenty of pull, but is fairly sluggish in Truck standards. Just wondering if anyone knew of some cheap tricks, or parts that can get a little more power out of her. I have read about all of the Throttle Body Spacers and FIPK kits and whatnot, but I dont want to spend $200 for 25 more horsepower. Thanks for any responses.

Cheap and effective do not exist for an 88 EFI trucj 302. Almost ne engine mods will help without first converting to mass air like the Mustang. The cheapest thing you could do is regear your axles for more launch, but that will run over $1000.
Has anyone tried a shaker hood on the Bronco? I saw something on TNN, that replaced the hood of a F-150 with a shaker. The cool thing was the air ran directly to the stock intake location. It would be slick to do the same with the Bronco.
$200.00 dollars for 25 horsepower sounds like a bargain to me. cool air increases power but it also reduces fuel mileage. a roller tappet cam with the same specs as an 85 mustang gt and some shorty headers and duel exhaust will make plenty of power but it costs much more than the $30.00 dollars for insulating tape.
I agree with BOJOFASO. If you could get 25HP for a mere $200 that would really be something phenominal. Those FIPK's don't add any more than 10. Some people even claim they can't tell the different.
