I went for the no tailgate option and took the discount. But then when i showed up i had mt flat load floor with me (removed and hardware stripped) and asked if they could spray it. They did with no questions asked

I don't know...maybe. I really like the storage under the seat. It works for me and we no longer have a bigger dog. She died and I'm being a big baby about getting another one. We have a small noise maker already.

sorry about your dog.

as for the storage bin, im glad its gone, cause its useless to me. and the floor is way more versatile. besides, the more nooks and crannies for storage mean the more junk accumulates over time. i do understand the need for storage as i couldnt live without my WeatherGuard chest, but thats more heavy duty stuff like tools, spare fluids, and emergency gear. Stuff that is either too big or undesirable to store in the cabin.
Now that I line x'ed the flat load floor, i REALLY love it. Shame on ford for deleting that option. Good thing they can still be found and fit right in. One thing im gonna do next tho is fabricate a nice mount to accomodate the 12v plug that the storage bin is wired for. Pics to follow when i get that worked out.

So another memeber was asking about the tailgate and what exactly they sprayed on mine. I forgot to snap a pic and post it up. So here it is...better late than never. Sorry for the delay.

They didn't charge to spray the tailgate or this small area. This is just how the shop did it, but they asked before they did it. Some have it sprayed, some don't. I like it...
