Most people put relay kits on their older trucks, and this gives them much brighter lights. Please keep it legal, and don't use any of those annoying blue things.

Exactly why I am looking for headlamps that are actually brighter than OEM-type ones. No blue tints or HID/Xenon.
The newer trucks (starting around 97-up) have better wiring and may benefit less from the relay modification. Starting in 87 they also went to the plastic headlamps with the replaceable bulb, which has a different selection of lamps. Someone with those type lights might be able to chime in and help you if you stated what you have.
Let me guess; this is not for a Ford pickup truck.

They do? I have a '97 F350 (old square body style) pickup. I don't recall headlight relays on those trucks. Light output is OK, but the lenses are a bit clouded. The headlamps are original assembly-line lamps (date stamped).
I live in a rather deserted region, so not a lot of outdoor lights around.
You got that right. It's actually for an ol' Dodge van with the old school 7" round headlamps.
