Dent?

I feel like this is the biggest noob question ever, but why do you guys call these trucks dents? I did a search but didn't come up with anything.

The "dent" running along the side of them. Some have trim in there. They call 72 and older "bump"s the same thing but the "bunp" sticks out from the body.

Ahhh, makes sense.

Mine has trim so I was wondering what kind of dent they were talking about along the sides (I gathered it was regarding the sides from reading posts). I'm sure it would have come to me if it wasn't for that.
