Hello Help< I have a 2003 f250 with a 6.0, the brass plug on the the water seperator to release the pressure to replace the filter is stripped, is there any after market replacments and how can i get it off. Thanks
Some people have had luck epoxying an allen wrench in the stripped out hole. maybe an easy-out would work also. If you can't get it off, you can take the cover off and work on it that way (or replace the cover - part # 6C3Z-9B249-C).
They do make an aftermarket plug that is MUCH better. Part # 6E7Z-9C082-A

Are you sure on the manifold cover part # Zach? (I believe your part number is the WIF sensor kit, not the manifold cover ... AND it is an obsolete part number from what I have in my records)
You guys are good... Part numbers and tech info and a pic... Awesome.,,, quick, what size is the allen?? Lol. Its like going to a dealer that gives free info.

TSB 06-3-10 says the part # is : 6C3Z-9B249-C
You maybe right...I'm trying to find the thread where I came up with that number. I went searching for WIF cover and came up with that number. I know that if you've got the fuel heater ('03 & '04) the replacement cover won't have the fuel heater (dis-continued with '05 and up MY trucks)....and has been the subject of some algae issues building up in the WIF housing.
