Since our truck came with the single drivers side wiper and I have to instal 2 in order to satisfy Alberta dept. of highway regs can any kindly tell me what the centre to centre spacing should be for the wiper pivots ?

Thanks
It doesn't have the second hole with a blank out plate/plastic? Mine does.
Just curious.
I have the same setup. One wiper and no hole for the second. I picked up some parts to add the second but I'm not putting it in place unless I have to. The truck didn't come with the passenger wiper but did get a sunvisor on that side. It only had one taillight but I'm adding signals. I'd like the measurement too in case I have to add the extra wiper. Greg
I tend to agree, Ilya, except that the 48-50s have a different setup because of the under-dash bracing? Who knows? I'd get the dual wiper setup in front of me and measure a couple of times before pulling out the drill!
Interesting. I thought all the cabs were stamped for both holes.
I could measure mine but its out of the truck as well
I think I have both a 51/52 set up and a 48-50 set up laying about somewhere.
I'll try and remember to take a measurement across my wiper pivots this evening

My '50 F-2 built in the St. Paul plant is also 16 1/2".
tractormanbill: The electric wiper kit fits just barely into the double pivot linkage but you may have to find a different location for the switch. I used the starter button hole as one of my POs converted the truck to 12v and added an ignition switch with the starter circuit built in to it.
My wiper holes measure 16 9/16" center to center. I bet most of the originals were 16 1/2". I noticed one hole is about 1/8" higher than the other so possibly they weren't building a rocket. Truck was made in Memphis and sold in San Antonio so it should be US made.
