I been here a little over a year now. Bought the truck appx 14mos ago. Finally made senior user this week. Really glad I went with the 6.0. I just posted in the thread about "non studded trucks running a tuner" but it got me to thinking. Is my truck studded? So, is there a way to check to see if my truck is studded? Make it easy for me I don't want to spend 2 days taking it apart and putting it back together. I have a borescope available to fish thru openings. 2006 F350 Dually 66K miles
That photo is a view of studs...notice the Allen hole in the center of the stud. The OEM TTY bolts look like regular bolts on the outside. You'll have the best luck seeing on the left (driver's side) outside the rocker boxes...right above the glow plug bus bar.
I was wondering the same thing. I recently bought a 03 king ranch Fx4 with 120,000 miles. Just walked outside and looked. Mine has been studded!!!!! Yes!!!!!!

You bought it not knowning it was studded? I see a tuner in your future
Thanx for the quick responses. Mine is not studded. Will be purchasing HG's and ARP? studs and putting them on the shelf to await the day/days.
Thanx again.
