Hello, I hoping to get some suggestions on fuel storage. I have a few long distance trips coming up and want to extend the range a bit or at least have emergency fuel on my F250. I dont really want to add a titan tank or an in bed metal fuel transfer tank. I found a few makers of plastic jerry cans online but they are ony 5 gallon jugs. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and any idea's you might have. As always thank you in advance, I always appreciate the advice.

Here's a link to a handy dandy portable fuel transfer pump I use to fill my shop heater with kerosene or #1 Diesel. Simple, lightweight, inexpensive, portable, you get the idea. Home Depot sells them during the winter months. I don't know if they have them in your area. I carry two five gallon plastic jugs of diesel when I travel long. But then I am **** retentive with Obsesive Compusive Disorder tendancies.
I have driven from CA to IL a few times and I had wanted to carry extra fuel also. I just used one 5 gallon yellow jug (Walmart type) and lashed it to a corner tie down.
Multiple trips and I never had to use it but it was there just in case.
Problem with the new jugs is that they take forever to pour out. I would look into a ATV/dirt bike jug if I was going to do it again.
As of yesterday I now have the Titan tank and hopefully wil no long need my yellow jug.
