I looked at the OP's profile, it says 1976 F100. I wonder if this is a different truck or if the left door on this truck is the original?
When OP posted Warranty Plate codes, the year code he typed is 1975. Last 6 digits of VIN decode to 1975, so 1975 isn't a typo.
OP: Compare the VIN on the Warranty Plate with the VIN on the registration to see if they match. If they don't match...
Peeps replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they failed to install the original Warranty Plate on the replaced door.
If this is the case, you can contact martiauto.com, pass along the VIN on the registration. Marti (for a fee) will send you a copy of your trucks original build sheet.
Marti can also supply you with a new Warranty Plate that will have the correct VIN and codes stamped on it.
Marti has ALL the FoMoCo records that apply to 1967/79 vehicles, FoMoCo has none of it anymore.
In the late 1980's, FoMoCo was planning to THROW AWAY all these records. Kevin Marti, a Mustang 'nut' in Phoenix AZ found out, and got ALL of it!
