Accessory Brackets.

I'm trying to figure out how the P/S bracket and the ALT bracket are supposed to look like on a 79 with a 400 motor.
The PO installed a bigger ALT from a Lincoln Cont. and has spacers etc to make it work.
Then the P/S pump has been spaced away from the block for i guess to clear the fuel line. Which may not be the correct fuel line and pump to begin with.

Does anybody have a close up of these two brackets?
I would sure appreciate it.

P.s I'll try getting a pic tomorrow of it is set up on my 400.

Ok here we go, this is how the 400 in my truck is setup.

This isn't right, look how close the pipe is to the belt.

The Alt out of a 79 Lincoln Cont?

If you look closely, you can see the belt alignment SUCKS.

And for kicks and giggles, does anybody know what radiator i have here?

The radiator looks like a camper Special radiator out of a 75 F250. I pulled a large one out of one for a 76 F 150 with 390. I t never fit right and the hood would hit the brass on the top all the time making a brass line show through the balck paint. It looked like a heavy duty option at the time, never do that again.

The fuel line looks about the same as mine. I found that the Airtex fuel pump out there for the 400 has the outlet on the pump facing the radiator. I wonder if that configuration was done to cool the fuel down. With the vapor lock problems caused by mechanical fuel pumps it would sure make sense.

Is the fuel line the correct style?
It looks like its been played with and not sitting like it should.
I think that's why the PO'S moved the PS out further, so it wouldn't hit the belt.

Does the Alt look right to you? as far as how its mounted?

Fuel line and alt

Fuel line is normally stock pot metal and silver. With all the cr*p in the tanks from 30 + years of use I've always bought straight 5/16 or 3/8 plastic coated(green) fuel line from NAPA about $6 or Autozone and used a tube bending tool $20 to replace the fuel pump to carb line and also the fuel pump to mid cab line. The alt doesnt look like a stock item but read the #s off it and put it in Google and find the intended application and you will know for sure. Doesn't look like my 77 F150 4X4 400 alt or 76 F150 4X4 390 alt either. I believe stock is the best configuration but I also drove a 59 into the 1980's with foot starter and all.
