Extending the frame
I am playing witht he idea of extending the frame of my 75 so I can put a back pack tool box and a 10 or 8 foot flat bed on it. So that it looks like a real period concept F-Super Duty. I have Building Grade C-Channel steel that is BRAND NEW. And was going to use it to extend my frame, was wondering if anyone had any tips on this subject. I want the truck to be able to compare to the GMC 3500HD we have at work (I have the rear end and springs and some frame section from a 3500HD so I am closer to it. Anyways all info would be appreciated. I am going threw my old college manuals on frames and fifth wheels and reading all I can they have to say abotu extending frames and reinforcing!
