If money is no issue then making that engine a 408 stroker is the best you can do, then upgrade the exhaust, pacesetter long tube headers, bassini y pipe, mandrel bent 3" piping, then gearing, 4.10 relations would work wonders.
well what heads do you plan on running? and of course you seem to know what your doing, im basically gonna do the same to my truck as yours, but watch yourself on that racing thing, as fun as it is it can bite you really hard one day. go to stage3motorsports.com and look up stroker kits that you would want and would be perfect for your truck, all this work is fine and dandy but a stroker build is the only way you will be able to match a diesel cause of all that massive torque output of those monsters, an edlebrock intake wouldnt hurt to add to the list if u want power like that, a good cam would be crane cam 449541b in my opinion, along with the 6litre tune up and a better set of injectors would help too. my advive would be once you get headers get dual 18in glasspacks in 2.5 true dual pipes, or into a single 3in pipe, you want a muffler because with that set up it will be really freakin loud, i love loud trucks so trust me haha. but if you do that you need to get some tranny work done to handle that kinda power, forgot what its called but im sure some one knows what im talking about and can post links cause i dont know how to
