Let me first say Welcome to the FTE. So you've checked local junkyards and still came up empty, have you checked ebay? I might be wrong but couldn't you use one off a regular f-150 shortbed? Give it some time someone else will chime in that knows a lil more. I own a F-250 puts me at a disadvantage, lol.

P.S. Might check out your local chapter for any leads.

Hit up your local chapter and asked so don't be surprised if you start getting replies fast.

ok my flare side has a flair .
The flareside has the filler in the rear of the flare so it has a bend in it. Does the short bed carry two tanks ?

If they have two tanks it might work but ford doesn't have either for that year

Did your dealer give you a part number? I'm not sure if it's E7TZ-9034-B as I don't see that specified for the Flareside or Styleside.

That part number is for the standard bed
Thanks for looking
  • Fits the rear or auxiliary fuel tank
  • Built to strict quality control standards
  • Replaces dealer part numbers: E7TZ 9034 B, E7TZ9034B
  • Only fits STYLESIDE pickup trucks with either 6 or 8 foot bed.
    • Does not fit the flareside aka stepside bed such as on a Splash
  • Fits both Standard and Extra Cab Models with SRW (Single Rear Wheel)

Thus my asking if the dealer gave you the correct part number. I have the factory parts manuals but do not see it listed for the Flareside. List one for a Ranger Flareside but not F150. Wonder if it's the same since they mention Splash. Was no Splash in an F150 was there?

Nothing comes up anywhere for the part number you need. Didn't show it in my 96 Parts Catalog so I called my bud @ Ford.
F2TZ-9034-A is for the rear tank
F2TZ-9034-B would be a front tank neck.

Thanks for all your help I really appreciate the diagrams .
It is frustrating that there is no info on it . It looks just like the 9034 hose on the bottom of the diagram and also looks identical to the bottom picture.
It looks like I will have to comb the junkies and see if I can come up with something that will work.

My expertise is with TV and home theater so If you ever need any advice in that field let me know

F2TZ-9034-A is the correct part #, as posted above.
Unfortunately, as you found out, it's discontinued from Ford.
No dealers or obsolete part vendors show any on the locator.

Fordparts.com says they are low stock but still have them... I think they were ~$125...
