I just did ball joints on the left front of my F450 4x4, after reassembling I now have a code saying that the abs sensor is not working. I had a hard time removing it, but I didn't think I broke it pulling it out.
Is there anyway I put something together wrong, hub assembly upside down or something? I'm groping for an option other than spending $160 at Advance for a new sensor.
The alignment shop said $350 in labor and $350 in parts for upper and lower ball joints and a complete rh tierod assembly. Advance quoted the same price and I put them in about 4hrs having never done it before, probably wasted an hour in not knowing exactly how to get it all apart.
When I drive around with AE hooked up I get a speed readout on the RH and rear sensors but nothing on the LH.
I was hoping that there might be a window on the hub assembly I didn't line up correctly or something of the sort when I bolted the hub back to the knuckle.
When I did my ball joints I unplugged the sensor before I pulled the sensor off of the hub. Not to be too basic but, did you reconnect the plug that clips to the wheel well?

I didn't unplug it, just let it dangle after removing it, but I suppose it could have somehow gotten unplugged. I broke down and got another one, but I am going to make sure it is plugged in and that I can see the target wheel through the hole in the knuckle before I open the new sensor.
