I`m glad it wasn`t a bad job, I`ve heard that headers are usually very hard and time consuming to install.
I`m thinking of a set for my 69 F100/390, what brand and how much were these?
The old headers where a little tough because about half the bolts you had to use a wrench to get to them but the new headers I could use my rachet on all but one of the bolts. The headers I got were Hedman and they were $290 + taxes. As for the rib cage I have a two step step ladder that made reaching in real nice.
Looks good. I always heard toughest thing with headers is when you have to replace starter
Yes you would have to take the header off to replace the starter but it would not be that hard. There is lots of room on the passenger side. I dont know about thickness but it will be alot easier to take these off if I have to than the other ones that were on the truck.
eBay has headers for quite affordable, but I wonder if that means quality....thickness is compromised.
There could problems with the headers fitting, so I`d sooner buy them from a business locally, have a face to ask questions and not have the hassle of poor fit or return shipping costs.
