What I`m mostly concerned about is non fit and having to return the item at my expense. Friends have had good luck tho.
Most of the items I`d wanted on EBay are just too big, heavy and too expensive to ship any distance.

I prefer to deal local and I am finding that the local dealers are pretty good at matching prices. Like you say Morris the big stuff is just to expensive to ship because they want to use UPS or the likes and the cost of shipping eliminates any savings. That said I have bought lots of stuff off the internet and have not had any problems.

I find alot of big stuff that is costly to ship as well! I see a trend here... haha.

Im not sure if I would buy some more specialized stuff off of ebay. Like when it comes times to put headers on the 302 that I am fitting into a modified 1951 ford frame with an ifs from a jag underneath, I think Im going to go local for that one!.

Something like an intake for a 302 or something that is alot more common, I wouldnt think twice about online shopping for it.

Colin you brought up a point Ive never thought of before, price matching. I dont know if I have ever asked a local business to price match something I find from the internet. Gonna have to try that yet!

Okay so where does one purchase something like headers from a store front shop in Saskatoon ? Canadian Tire I guess but..........I think you would have better luck online if that is the only choice.

Up in stoon there might be a few other places to get stuff like headers. I would think maybe napa, wssl auto, sutherland auto?

Rreally not too sure though. Last set of headers I got for my 302 were used from a friend that had them kicking around.

I dunno prep, as you said its a 302 in a 50's body with a Jag front end, unless you want to spend a few hundered at a muffler shop for a custom adapted set best bet buy a lightt cheap small set so you can work with them, is what I would do

I think for my project I would get those headers ya just weld together yourself, buddy of mine bought some for a 50s pontiac that he put a 400 sbc in, and they worked great, you can route them however.

750 bucks for a used battery box that you have to pull? That is hilarious!
