A 4150 and 4160 refer only to the capability of changing jet sizes in the metering block of the secondaries. A 4150 has a metering block and requires jetting it. A 4160 has no metering block and a plate instead and to change mixture that plate has to be removed and swapped out. Either carbutetor can be interchanged with the proper components. I did a little looking and this is said to be a 735 cfm Vac secondary 4150. If it is then the tuning is first idle speed and mixture, accelerator pump, power valve, pump cams, pump nozzles, sec. spring, then sec. jetting (the order might vary if you have some jetting issues before hand, like way rich or way lean)
Just so you know, Ford part number D4TZ-9510-AS should also have a metal tag on it that is stamped D4TE-ASA. If you ever need parts for it, that is the number they will ask for.
It was originally For a 74-75 F150-350 w/390, w/C6, w/o Cal emissions before s/n W00,001.
I'll see if I can find more info on exactly which Holley carb it is.
The metal tag isn't on the barb but it appears to be un-used since refurbishment by Ford. Thanks for the info guys. It sounds like it is what I want in that I am installing on a 390/C-6 F350 driveline and in 74 there is no smog stuff on it. Should work assuming it doesn't leak like a sieve from old gaskets. Unsure how long it has set on a shelf somewhere. Probably quite sometime.
